A charming and authentic 1982 British classic, this Dawes Fleur mixte-frame bike is in good, ready-to-ride working condition. It retains its iconic factory character, complete with rare original features from the golden age of British cycling.

Key Details & Features

• Sizing: Smaller frame size. Best suited for riders under 5'7" (170 cm). (Selling because it is a little too small for me at 5'7").

• Saddle: Highly padded and very comfortable seat.

• Frame: Classic turquoise/aqua metallic step-through mixte frame with plenty of original vintage character. It features the original 1982-specification oval metal Dawes head badge, with slanted silver block lettering on a black background, as well as built-in mounts for a frame pump (pump not included).
The original paintwork has developed a lovely authentic vintage patina over the years, with natural fading, minor chips and areas of light surface rust consistent with its age. The frame also retains its original “Hand-built” decals, adding to its period-correct appearance and charm.

• Gearing: Original 5-speed, French-made Simplex derailleur paired with the original downtube friction shifter—classic retro specification and fully functional. The chainring, freewheel and chain are all in good working condition.

• Mudguards: Beautiful original stainless-steel mudguards that have remained completely rust-free since the bike was built (a signature premium feature of the Dawes Fleur).

• Rear Rack: Original vintage chrome rear rack featuring a handy spring clamp, with some light patina/rust on the vertical stays.

• Wheels & Tyres: 700c wheels and reliable tyres in good, road-ready condition (replaced from original equipment for better everyday riding). The front wheel is a vintage replacement wheel that complements the retro style of the bike beautifully.

• Handlebars & Pedals: Comfortable upright handlebars for a relaxed city-riding posture, paired with original vintage pedals and cranks.
