Job Description and Duties
Laundry shop assistants perform a range of tasks related to the cleaning, processing, and handling of garments, typically including:
Sorting, ticketing, and organizing garments according to customer orders.
Quality control and checking items for damage or cleanliness.
Loading and unloading washing machines and dryers.
Folding, pressing, and packing shirts, linens, and other laundry items.
Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of both the laundry workspace and the customer-facing store.
Progressing to shop assistant duties, such as handling payments, managing customer inquiries, and supporting store operations
Skills and Requirements
No prior laundry experience is typically required; training is provided.
Key skills include attention to detail, organizational ability, team cooperation, and a strong work ethic.
