Job Purpose

To maintain high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation throughout guest bedrooms and public areas, ensuring a warm, welcoming environment that reflects the hotel’s commitment to genuine Highland hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Bedrooms

Clean and service guest bedrooms to a consistently high standard

Change bed linen and towels in line with hotel procedures

Replenish guest amenities and report any maintenance issues

Ensure rooms are presented neatly and ready for arriving guests

Public Areas

Clean and maintain public spaces including lounges, corridors, stairways, and restrooms

Ensure all areas are tidy, well presented, and inviting

Laundry Duties

Assist with washing, drying, ironing, and organising hotel linen as required

Handle linens and guest belongings with care and discretion

Health, Safety & Hygiene

Follow all cleaning, health & safety, and COSHH procedures

Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly

Report any health, safety, or maintenance concerns promptly

Guest Interaction

Greet guests politely and professionally when encountered

Respond to guest requests or refer them appropriately

Skills & Experience

Essential:

Good attention to detail and pride in high standards

Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

Physically able to carry out housekeeping duties

Desirable:

Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience

Experience in a hotel, guesthouse, or rural hospitality setting

Working Conditions

Full-time and Part-time permanent position

Shift work including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Live-in accommodation is available for Full-time
