Good design has always meant more to me than simply making things look beautiful, though that matters too. Over 25 years working across some of the UK’s finest agencies, I’ve come to believe that the best design is the kind that works quietly in the background, guiding people, building trust, and making complex things feel effortless.

I care about the details that most people never consciously notice, the spacing, the hierarchy, the way a colour choice can shift how something feels. But I never lose sight of the bigger picture: what is this piece trying to achieve, and is it doing that job brilliantly?
