Description

Rigour Survey is a private geospatial and land surveying company that provides precision measurement services for the architectural, engineering, and construction industries.

We have two offices, Snettetton, Norfolk and Smarden, Kent. We cover the east, south east and London

We capture highly accurate 3D spatial data to minimize design risks and maximize cost efficiencies for construction and development projects. Our specialized geospatial services include:

Topographical & Land Surveys: Measuring fields, ditches, and terrains to record precise boundary lines and features.

Measured Building Surveys: Capturing detailed as-built representations of existing properties, including building facades, detailed floor plans, and sections.

Laser Scanning & Photogrammetry: Deploying high-definition 3D laser scanners and drone technology to record structures, including city centers, heritage sites, and dilapidated structures.

BIM & Digital Twins: Translating captured 3D spatial data into Building Information Modelling (BIM) formats, virtual realities, and digital twins.

Underground Utility Tracing: Mapping buried pipes, cables, and assets using ground-penetrating radar.

Site Setting Out & Engineering: Translating architectural design drawings directly onto physical construction sites for accurate building placement.

The role is to assist the team in the Smarden office, you will be working with our surveyors and you will be trained to use the state of the art surveying equipment including GPS receivers, robotic total stations, laser scanners, drones as well as the accompanying software. The role will be split approximately 80/20 between site and office (in that order).

As an individual you will enjoy being outdoors in all weathers, be reasonably fit, hardy and reliable.

Our surveyors are in Marden and Ashford and you will need to be able to meet them to travel onto sites. Depending on your location and where the sites are they may be able to pick you up from your house although it would be advantageous to be able to supply your own transport.

The succesful candidate will be trained and educated so that, in time, you will be able to progress to carrying out your own surveys. This will involve confidently handling the survey hardware as well as processing the raw data and then finally presenting the final drawings ready for submission to our clients.

This is great role for anyone aged 18-21 who loves working outdoors while working advanced technology.
