1) MY SERVICES

A) WHERE?

I can drive 500+ miles (800+km) from my locations in South/North UK. Whether you are in London, Yorkshire, Plymouth, Stornoway, Cardiff, Belfast/Dublin or Isle of Mann/Channel Islands, I could come to your home. (Accommodation/travel/meal costs apply.)

For one-off, emergency cover and for on-going, ad hoc service, any part of the UK/Ireland/British Isles, Europe and beyond – any place around the world - can be OK.

B) HOW LONG FOR?

Feel free to contact me if you need an urgent 'one-off cover' babysitter (temp nanny/au pair) or pet-house sitter, for your children/pets/home, or if you need a part-time cover on an 'ongoing, occasional, ad hoc' basis, for short/medium/long-term (from a few days to 1 year +).

My service can be full or part-time, and short (a couple of hours, an evening/weekend or a fortnight/1 month +) or 'longer temporary' cover (some weeks to a few months), either last-minute or arranged in advance. I can consider long-term placements (6 months, a year + etc.).

C) BABYSITTING / OTHER?

I am also a carer and travel PA/luggage assistant/chaperon-minder-bodyguard/care-escort, available for your family trips/holidays for help with your care needs and carrying your suitcases/bags. (Disability/wheelchair/intimate care with/without SEN, washing/dressing, packing/carrying etc.)

I have my own buggies/prams/booster child car seats and portable wheelchair mobility ramps.

My cars - spacious/comfortable vehicles - can ferry 8 people.

3) ABOUT ME

I AM:

London and Yorkshire-based woman;
Lifelong non-smoker / tea total;
UK passport/driving licence (full manual/automatic) with own cars (one car in London and another in Yorkshire);
First Aid training (valid certificate);
DBS (UK police check for employment) and references;
Carer/nanny public liability insurance;
Self-employment UTR (for HMRC tax and NI);
English and basic European languages;
Very fit/active into healthy lifestyle (3am start/16-hour shifts, cycling 100km+ a day etc.);
Reliable-punctual-operationally efficient in client delivery;
Several qualifications to postgraduate research/doctorate level.

IN ADDITION TO BABYSITTING:

I can take your children to after-school sports/arts clubs (I teach swimming, fitness and classical musical instruments) and feed your children (heating up meals if you’ve cooked/prepared).

I can come with you in the UK/abroad to help you with childcare. I can also help as your travel/baggage assistant and with your cat litter/feeding, dog walking, grocery shopping and cleaning/tidying up the house.

4) MY EXPERIENCE

CHILDREN:

I have babysat children (infants to 15 years of age). I have experience of SEN children/adults as an education professional and babysitter/carer. I have helped disabled clients (wheelchair users etc.) on international travels.

PETS:

I am a lifelong cat owner/experienced cat sitter/fosterer for other people's or lost/homeless cats, both with home visits (to your home) and cat-boarding (at my home). I have walked dogs for clients. Also for other pets (rabbits, birds, fish etc.), I am happy to care for them while you are away.

HOMES:

I have housesat (daily/weekly visits, watering plants etc.) and for prolonged stays overnight for your home's security as a house sitter.

5) YOUR/MY LOCATIONS (WHOLE UK AND TRIPS ABROAD TO OTHER COUNTRIES)

In London/South, I am in Brockley (southeast London zone 2, near Greenwich).

In Yorkshire/North, I am near Campsall (Leeds/Doncaster/Sheffield, in West/South Yorkshire).

Anywhere in the UK near or afar can be possible (I could drive all day to come to your home), and I can be available for your babysitting needs for trips overseas anywhere in the world for holidays, family events, work/study visits etc.

(Accommodation/travel/meal costs apply if far from me.)

6) MY RATES / PAYMENTS

My compensation starts at £15.00 per hour. For long-distance driving from my locations, for trips abroad, for daily-nightly/weekly/monthly rates, or to discuss your personal needs/situation, please contact me for a chat.

MINIMUM HOURS:

These minimum charges apply depending on your distance from me (Brockley for London/South or near Campsall for Yorkshire/North):

Over 5 miles distance: Minimum 2 hours' service chargeable.
Over 10 miles distance: Minimum 3 hours' service.
Over 15 miles distance: Minimum 4 hours' service.

TRAVEL COSTS:

Distances of over 20 miles from Brockley or near Campsall incur travel costs at 0.45p per mile (HMRC mileage rate) to cover my return travel, if using my own car. For example, if you are in;

Reading (47 miles from Brockley, 94 miles return) = £42.30 travel cost chargeable.
Manchester (64 miles from Campsall, 128 miles return) = £57.60 travel cost.
Penzance (290 miles from Brockley, 580 miles return) = £261.00 travel cost.
Inverness (388 miles from Campsall, 776 miles return) = £349.20 travel cost.

PLEASE NOTE:

If long-distance from me outside of the city/town/village where I am in Brockley/London and Campsall/Yorkshire, advance deposit payment is required – as no service provider would ever travel hundreds of miles for hours or for half a day to come to your home without an advance payment. You will get my ID/documentation. Please contact me for details. (If this is not OK for you when you are far from me, you can look for local babysitters where you live.)

For accompanying you and your children on trips elsewhere in the UK or abroad anywhere in the world, please contact me for bespoke packaging/rates. Each client's location/needs will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

E) The reason why my ads don’t show my phone number is because, especially as a woman, I get a lot of the unscrupulous approaching me. I assess risks vis-à-vis my personal details being all over for thousands to see. (When you message me, it is private communication; only one person - me - seeing your contact number. I hope you understand. You too will get my number if you are real.)

F) Please think about how the nefarious lot would do things when contacting me. If you are a genuine parent seeking childcare services, please don’t make yourself to appear to be like them (as otherwise it will waste everyone's time and you won't get my service), and instead, please do as advised in A/B/C above.

8) EXAMPLES OF YOU NEEDING ME AS YOUR TEMPORARY, EMERGENCY/AD HOC COVER BABYSITTER, PET/HOUSE SITTER

A) You already have childcare arrangements in place, but they are ill, so you need a last-minute, temp babysitter for a few nights to either stay home with your little ones or taking to/picking up from school.

B) You booked a holiday abroad for you, your children and your childminder, but your nanny suddenly became unavailable due to an emergency, or your au pair is on a 2-week annual leave and suddenly you have to travel abroad with your children for last-minute, either for a few nights/weeks or for a month or more, leaving you in need of an urgent cover babysitter to travel with you internationally.

C) You feel you could just about manage travelling without a nanny, but you would like a minder/bodyguard to accompany you/your children for protection as you are a vulnerable family due to health issues/disability or due to 'higher risk' destinations.

D) You usually stay home, but just tomorrow night or for a few days soon, you have to be out for a few hours or the whole day or night (for job interviews, dates, concerts, events/meetings, family/friends do etc.), so you need a one-off babysitter.

E) You suddenly have to travel to Scotland for a weekend, or you have to fly out of the UK on business unexpectedly for a week, so you need an emergency 24-hour au pair (staying overnight for small kids) or nanny (visits during the day for older kids).

F) You usually work from home but soon you could have to be out for events/meetings for the whole afternoon once or twice a week, or you could need to travel abroad for some nights a few times a month, so you now need to find a babysitter on an on-going yet occasional, ad-hoc basis.
