Description
Antique metal and steel travel trunk by R. Perry Son & Co, Wolverhampton, dating from the late Victorian era.
This trunk has been well used and shows authentic signs of age and wear, including dents and surface marks, which add to its character and confirm its history. It belonged to my great grandad and was originally used for travel.
A particularly lovely feature is the original travel ticket fragments still attached, making this a unique and collectable piece with real provenance.
The trunk has metal lifting handles on both sides and the original maker’s plate is still present on the inside of the lid. Please note, as shown in the photos, the original lock has been removed and replaced with a different locking mechanism.
Overall condition is good for its age and it would make an excellent decorative, storage or display piece for a period home, shop, or film/prop use.
