Description
Antique chest of drawers in walnut c1880.
Figured Walnut with an interesting ripple grain pattern, the graduated drawers have a dovetail construction with hardwood linings, the bottom drawer provides extra large storage by incorporating the plinth space.
The handles are original cast brass, the original escutcheons and locks are all present (no keys)
Condition, is good, the chest is strong and clean with a nice wax polish patination. The drawers slide smoothly. Lead-free, no woodworm.
Bought at an antiques shop in East Yorkshire unfortunately doesn’t fit with the decor of my house.
