Description

Join us at the newly refurbished Kirk O' The Lochs in Tarbet, Arrochar.

Preparing a home cooked traditional Scottish menu, featuring quality produce.

As a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie you will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation, while also being part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

From locals to large tour groups, everyday is varied with opportunities to learn and share experiences.

Please note this is not a live in position therefore own transport is essential, with a limited public transport service.

Duties

Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of orders during service hours
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitising work surfaces
Monitor food quality and presentation, ensuring consistency across all dishes served
Follow food safety regulations and proper handling procedures at all times
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure efficient workflow
Support the team in maintaining a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills
