Sweet, Calm & Affectionate Cat Looking for a Quiet Loving Home

Blissey is a very sweet, gentle, and calm cat who is looking for a new home where she can enjoy peace and comfort. She loves lounging in sunny spots, being gently petted, and spending her days relaxing nearby. She’s affectionate and purrs happily when stroked.

Blissey originally arrived in our lives as a stray who wandered into our home. We searched for her owners locally and took her to the vet, but as she wasn’t microchipped and no one came forward to claim her, we decided to take her in and give her a loving home.

She has lived with children but prefers a quieter environment, as loud noises can make her retreat to a safe space. Because of this, she would be best suited to a calm household, ideally with adults or older children who understand gentle interactions.

Blissey enjoys going outside into a secure back garden when supervised but is also content relaxing indoors. She is friendly, easy-going, and not demanding — a lovely companion for someone who wants a relaxed, low-maintenance cat.

Blissey is microchipped and has been vet-checked. We want to be fully open that we have occasionally wondered if she may have minor vision issues, as she can bump into things when she’s startled or retreating back to her safe space. That said, she has not been diagnosed with any vision problems, and when she was checked by the vet in early 2024, we were told she was fine. She is able to jump onto chairs, move around the house, and respond normally, so it may simply be that she is a little clumsy.

Rehoming Blissey has been a very difficult decision. My wife has a mild allergy to cats, which we noticed shortly after taking Blissey in, meaning she doesn’t interact with her very much. With plans to welcome another child and needing to convert the study room (where Blissey currently feels most comfortable) into a nursery, we feel we can no longer provide the environment that’s best for her.

We are looking for a calm, understanding home where Blissey can feel safe, settled, and loved.
