Meet Elijah 🩵

Elijah is an 8-month-old British Longhair with the softest coat and an even softer personality. He is, without exaggeration, one of the most affectionate and cuddly cats I’ve ever known.

He absolutely loves people. Whether it’s curling up next to you on the sofa, climbing into your lap, or being picked up for a cuddle, Elijah thrives on attention and closeness. He’s the kind of cat who wants to be near you, follow you around, and be part of your day. If you’re looking for a companion rather than just a pet, he really is perfect.

He has a very gentle, sweet nature and settles well once he feels comfortable. He enjoys being stroked and will happily soak up as much affection as you’re willing to give. He’s not aloof or distant—he genuinely likes being around people and being involved.

The difficult part 🩵

This has been an incredibly hard decision to make, and not one I ever expected to face. Unfortunately, due to changes in my circumstances, I’m no longer able to give Elijah the level of time, attention, and care that he truly deserves.

He is such a loving cat, and it wouldn’t be fair to keep him in a situation where he isn’t getting the companionship he needs. My priority is finding him a home where he can be happy, comfortable, and properly loved.

Health & transparency 🩵

Elijah has previously had Giardia and Feline Coronavirus. Both were treated, and he tested negative for both in August last year.

Since then, he has been healthy and doing well. I want to be completely open about his history so that any potential new owner feels informed and confident.

What Elijah needs 🩵

I’m looking for a kind, patient, and committed home for him—someone who genuinely wants a companion and has the time to give him attention and affection.

He would suit:

A home where someone is around often

Someone who enjoys a very affectionate, people-oriented cat

A calm, loving environment where he can feel secure

Daily life & habits 🩵

Elijah is fully litter trained and has no issues using his litter tray. He is an indoor-only cat and is very comfortable living inside.

He also has a soft spot for treats—especially cheese Dreamies, which he absolutely loves and will come running for.

Other pets & socialisation 🩵

Elijah has previously been around other animals. Before coming to me, he lived in a multi-cat household and was comfortable around other cats.

He has also been introduced to dogs. He can be a little unsure if they get too close too quickly and may hiss as a warning, but he has never shown any aggression or attempted to lash out. With slow and proper introductions, I believe he could settle well in a home with calm, respectful dogs.

Playfulness & personality 🩵

Elijah has a playful side to match his affectionate nature. He especially loves chasing a red laser pen and can happily entertain himself (and you) with it for ages.

He also enjoys catnip toys and will have little bursts of playful energy throughout the day. Like most curious kittens, he has taken a particular interest in… wires, so they do need to be kept out of reach 😅

He’s a lovely mix of playful and cuddly—happy to play when the mood strikes, but just as content curling up with you afterwards.

What’s included 🩵

Elijah will come with all of his belongings to help him settle into his new home comfortably. This includes any food I currently have for him, litter, toys, treats, his cat tree, and litter trays.

I want his transition to be as smooth and stress-free as possible, so he’ll have familiar items with him from day one

Final note 🩵

This isn’t a decision I’ve made lightly. Elijah means a lot to me, and I want the very best for him. I’m not in a rush—I’d much rather take the time to find the right home than a quick one.
