To manage the day-to-day running of the shop in the most efficient and effective manner. You will deliver the highest possible standards of service through a highly trained and passionate team while being pro-active in maintaining and improving turnover and profitability.

Team Development: Develop a motivated, high-performing team committed to clear goals.

Safety & Well-being: Protect the health, safety, and well-being of our customers and teams.

Brand Excellence: Ensure product quality and presentation consistently follow the "Blackbird Bible."

Your Responsibilities: Leading the Business

🚀 Operations & Profitability

Financial Savvy: Use key financial indicators to evaluate the business and act on opportunities.

KPI Management: Complete rotas, forecasting, and KPIs daily; take remedial action when needed.

Sales Initiatives: Create and deliver local marketing plans, sales initiatives, and staff incentives.

Stock & Standards: Order and control stock according to procedure; ensure equipment is maintained within budget. Community: Maintain great relationships with local residents and surrounding businesses.

👥 HR & Team Leadership

Development: Manage succession planning and ensure all team members attend relevant training.

Relations: Give guidance on employee relations in consultation with the Head Office team.

Admin: Ensure all personnel files are complete, accurate, and legally compliant.

📦 Stock, Safety & Controls

Quality Control: Ensure deliveries are checked for quality/quantity and stored to food safety standards.

Audits: Maintain high hygiene standards and perform daily stock audits/rotations.

Security: Take full responsibility for cash security and banking procedures at all times.

Health & Safety: Identify hazards, take corrective action, and respond to any food hygiene issues to protect the brand.
