Self Employed Carer Required - South Side Glasgow Area

Seeking a self-employed carer to become an active member of a small team of personal care assistants, working with a highly motivated, self-employed, adult male with a high-level spinal cord injury. Although he has limited movement and requires the use of a wheelchair, he still runs his business from home and is dedicated to maximising his rehabilitation as far as possible.

The position will range from providing personal care, moving and handling - using a range of suitable equipment for single person use - helping with rehabilitation exercises, to general companionship and assisting around the house and home office with simple tasks such as cleaning and ironing, preparing simple food, collecting shopping.

Specific training support will be provided, however prior care experience is preferred. You must have an up-to-date PVG and be in possession of a full UK driving license.

The position is to cover 2 week days 10:00-18:00 (at £16.50 per hour) and every 3rd weekend 10:00-13:00 both Saturday & Sunday (at £18.70 per hour).

Extra shifts may be available for holiday and sickness cover.
