Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Assistant to provide personalised care and assistance to an individual in their own home. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge and experience of working with people who have profound and multiple learning disabilities.
Duties
Support client in all areas of health and personal care including administering medication, eating and drinking, bathing and dressing Work within a team to ensure that the client experiences a balanced social and home life which includes a variety of opportunities specific to their needs and provides an environment which is stimulating, happy, supportive and respectful Ensure a safe environment by following health and safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
Knowledge and experience of working with people who have Learning Disabilities and are non-verbal Good communication skills both written and spoken Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others’ independence and quality of life Good sense of humour and the ability to diffuse/manage potentially stressful situations Ability to work flexible hours, be punctual and reliable
