FEMALE SUPPORT WORKER - HASSOCKS
Job Description
Integrated Case Management are currently recruiting for a Female Support Worker to work alongside our client in their own home.
Hours/Shifts:
Every Friday 8.00 am to 8.00 pm
One Saturday per month 8.00 am to 8.00 pm

The Successful Candidate:
Should be available to cover annual leave and periods of absence to meet the needs of our client and as part of the support team.
We can offer a funded DBS, a competitive salary starting at between £15 - £16 per hour in the week and £17 - £18 per hour at the weekends depending on experience, fully funded mandatory and specialised training and a pension plan.
The Client:
X lives near Hassocks, West Sussex and loves life. She particularly enjoys spending time with her family and is incredibly sociable. She always has a ready laugh and loves to be out and about, swimming, drama and theatre, music, using her walker. She loves to go on holiday with her support staff.
The Environment:
X lives at home with her family and 2 dogs and this is a relaxed place to work. The house is designed around X and it is a fun culture mixed with the seriousness of managing X’s needs. X has a number of different support staff.
The Role:
X is looking for a Support Worker to join her growing team to help manage her daily routines and adventures in life.
X uses a powered wheelchair for the majority of the day but she also likes to use her walker. The shifts will be a mixture of 2:1 or 1:1, depending on the day/activity.
X requires prompts and some assistance with all activities of daily living. She requires support in terms of her stoma, medication, and activities of daily living.
You will follow her care plan to provide physiotherapy-led exercises and positioning and assist with use of the walker, hydrotherapy, going to the gym and developing her independence skills.
You will accompany X with members of her family or care team to attend medical appointments as required as well as family outings. You will also be required to assist with our clients’ laundry, cleaning of her rooms and equipment.
Full training in all aspects of our client’s care will be given and you will be fully supported by her Case Manager, team leader and parents.
About You:
You will have excellent communication skills and have experience supporting a young person/adult with complex needs with personal care and general support.
You will be kind, positive, reliable with good timekeeping. Have a sense of humour, be fun, energetic and enthusiastic in the role, and a team player.
You will maintain client confidentiality and build a relationship of trust with our client and her family.
You will be confident in manual handling, providing personal care and stoma management. You will have a willingness to participate and follow training modules which are provided as part of the role.
This role requires you to be a driver who can drive our client’s automatic vehicle. Therefore, you will have a driver’s licence.
