Description

My name is Pam, and I am over 21! I have a slow progression of Motor Neurone Disease. I need help with everything.

I'm looking for two individual women to cover 5 x 12hr night shifts between them, two and three shifts every week. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

You must be experienced because I need complex care now and experience is everything! People who are calm, caring, to join my small care team helping me stay safe and comfortable throughout the night and support me during waking night shifts. Dog lovers preferred .

I use 12hr non-invasive ventilation (NIV) and live at home alone apart from daughters support and carers 24/7.

Key responsibilities:

• Personal care including bowel and Catheter management

• Ventilation (NIV) care over night

• Ceiling Track Hoist is used in the Bathroom and another in my Bedroom

• Manual Handling is also required to position me once in bed

• Monitoring my wellbeing and responding appropriately during the night to my alarm calls

Previous experience in a care setting is essential particularly with ventilation or complex care, although full training specific to my individual care needs will be provided, so you'll have the support you need to feel confident in the role.

Training takes approximately 6 nights.

Role details:

• Waking night shifts: 9:30pm – 9.30 am

Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday

• Pay per night is dependent on which nights you work. You will be paid reduced hourly rate whilst training.

• Holiday pay and statutory sick pay

• Pay is monthly

• Permanent employed position (not self-employed)

The ideal candidate must be punctual, reliable, and committed to working their agreed hours. with excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. A willingness to undertake the required training is essential.

Employment is subject to an enhanced DBS check and proof of the right to work in the UK. You will be offered a PAYE Contract once training is complete and a term of trial period has finished and both parties are happy

Excellent pay for the right people.
