Very good engine. its been in my mk1 transit campervan i have covered about 8000 miles i have driven it to spain and back. Only issue i had was the cold start cable on the bosch ve diesel pump broke, after much research i found that this was not nessary unless your in a really cold climate. The cable i replaced with a stud as it adjust the tickover stop aswell. Has been driven this way for atleast 700 miles this way with no issues

the cambelt fuel filter, lift pump and water pump i did before leaving spain its a gates cambelt and delphi waterpump tappets also adjusted at the same time so have about 1600 miles on them. Gearbox is spot on too. The sump gasket is leaking, not enough to drip on the floor but is wet and comes with a new one. I suggest an oil change to the buyer as it has around 4000 miles.

My original plan was to turbo this engine but after some research i realised im better of buying a transit tdi. i bought one with a gearbox hence the reason im selling both.

The engine will be missing the:
Starter motor.
will be sold with the later aluminium engine mounts.
gearstick.
posibly the high pressure fuel lines as the new engine doesnt have (im trying to find a set online)
