Description

You are looking at a opportunity to go off-grid camping.

This is a 5ft by 3ft galvanised steel trailer, with additional height added by pressure treated wood, joints sealed with gaskets, so is water resistant. It has a dense waterproof cover, custom fitted.
The trailer has a reinforced roof made of a 5ftx3ft 250W solar panel which is attached by pin removable stainless steel hinges, and 4 others shackles.

The wheels and tyres are about 2 years old, and have plenty of life left in them, no flat spots and I replaced the bearing on one side, the other is fine. The ground clearance is very good and the trailer itself is quite light.

It is a tipping trailer too, which could help for loading heavy equipment.

There are plenty of lashing points both inside the bed and outside. I have used galvanised or stainless steel for all fixings when possible.

I've fully rewired the trailer and it has a good set of LED scrolling indicators and tail lights.

The powerpack which links to the panel is 2 x 100AH deep cycle batteries which have a charge controller and 2 inverters, a 24V 1500W inverter and a 400W 12v inverter. There are lights, USB and a multi-socket in the powerpack. I made it myself and it is very useful.

I made it because the factory made ones have 1/4 of the power at 4 times the cost.
I haven't taken a picture yet, but can send on request.

We have used it a number of times for off-grid camping in Wales, where everyone around us has little flash lights and we are there with the fridge running, heated blankets and simply having a more comfortable time.
We can charge the batteries in the day with the solar panel.

We have run a 80W fridge and had heated blankets at night for 2 days without charging the batteries, so with good sunshine it should be good indefinitely.

The trailer is in storage in Selly Oak, Birmingham, so we can only do viewings on weekends by appointment.
We, and the powerpack, are in Tamworth.

Thanks for looking
Chris
