Description

Utility trailer.
This chassis was originally designed as a German camping trailer, circa mid 60's, that has been completely overhauled with a steel frame attached. The interior is lined with recycle 3/4 inch plastic paneling that is very durable. It has a tubular towing arm (superior twist resistance compared to the box style arm), and independent wishbone suspension with springs and shocks (something you won't find on typical off-the-shelf trailers), it does not jump around on the road if there are a few bumps, it rides very smooth and stable.
There is an onboard braking system that slows the trailer down with the towing vehicle (the on-board brakes are mechanically activated by a system in the towing arm, a nice safety feature you don't often see on a trailer in this weight class ). All running gear was refurbished a few years ago and powder coated. There is a spare wheel fixed underneath, and each corner of the trailer has a stand that can be wound down so it can be used as a stable platform.

This was built to to hitch to the back of your German sedan and zip down the autobahn for a holiday in France, even with a full load (550 kgs.) and driving at speed you hardly know its behind you.

Inside measurements are 185 cm x 140 cm.
