Land Rover Defender Rear Folding Step Assembly

Offered here is this Folding Step Assembly suitable for a Land Rover Defender 90 or 110.

The assembly consists of those components which appear in yellow on the images, removed from a Defender.

This is a professionally made steel assembly which attaches to the rear cross member by use of the existing tow bar bolts and two bracing bars which also attach to the tow bar bracing bolts on the chassis. Note that the tow bar shown in the images is NOT included with the steps. Each step can be independently folded in the upright position being held in that position by spring loaded bolts on the underside of the step. The steps pivot on a pair of long stainless steel pins which is secured to the frame by suitable split pins. The tread plates on the steps have pressed raised surrounds for good grip.

Condition is as shown, these worked fine prior to removal, yellow paint is flaking off in places so some cosmetic attention prior to fitting likely to be needed.

These are significantly stronger and more flexible than the original single folding step and have advantages over the fixed grill type step attached to the tow ball in that they can be stored vertically when not needed.

Designed specifically for the Defender - these may also fit Series vehicles but check this out for yourself before committing to buy.
