Volkswagen TRANSPORTER T5 2014 LWB Campervan

Description

After one year of adventures across Scotland and Spain we decided to sell our van since we won't be able to use it as it deserves due to changes in work/life circumstances. Van has just passed the MOT with no advisories and has FSH (this is why we bought it in the first place despite high mileage). An interesting feature: this is the only T5 I know that can accommodate 5 persons to travel and sleep comfortably.

I have substantially dropped the price for a low season sale. It will be advertised in other platforms so come see it soon to avoid disappointment.

Details from the van and the conversion below. I have garage receipts for all works done.

Van:

Volkswagen, T5 TRANSPORTER SHUTTLE, MPV, 2014, Automatic, 1968 (cc), 5 doors, 5 seats, 5 berth, campervan conversion.

- Van started his life as a shuttle from Edinburgh airport to the city, hence the high mileage but also the FSH
- Last 8 MOT almost without any advisories. Just a deteriorated reg plate in 2022
- Automatic clutch changed in Dec 2025 and gearbox serviced (previous owner)
- Fuel system checked in Argyle Diesel Electrics and rusty fuel pipes changed (March 2026)
- 4 shock absorbers changed in June 2026 (Horners garage, Maryhill)
- Full exhaust changed June 2026 (Horners garage, Maryhill)
- Air conditioned sensor changed June 2026 and regassing (Horners garage, Maryhill). Aircon works really good now (tested in Spanish summer)
- Timing belt, water pump and diesel pump changed in Deutsche Tek July 2026 using original VW parts.

Bad bits:
- Some rust underneath and a few rust bits here and there (Scottish origin).
- There are a couple of dents in the bonnet behind the cover (happy to show it).

Conversion:
- Insulation and carpet lining throughout the back of the van (previous owner)
- Pop-top from Westdubs installed by North Coast campers in March 2026 including double elevation bed (allows to stand in front and back of the van when raised), hatch (separates completely the upstairs bed from the rest of the van and gives a neat finish when pop-top is closed) and 8 spotlights.
- Kids bed for front seats purchased from Forty Winks a few years ago (picture is from our previous van)
- Pods+ drawers+ cushions supplied and installed by Van Furniture April 2026
- Electrics: Jackery explorer 1000 + solar panel purchased in May 2026
- Fridge: Alpicool 24L purchased in July 2026
- Kitchen: Cadac 2 cook pro
- Low wattage electric oil radiator. Can work off the Jackery battery (lasts 2 nights) or when plugged in a campsite.
- Thermal insulation front and back covers: Comfortz VW and Vee Dub
- Tailgate awning: Outwell Sandcrest

I might have forgotten more details so happy to answer your questions.
Also happy for interested people to drive the van if they show insurance that allows to do it.
Open to negotiate the price a bit after seeing the van but not in a rush to sell.
