Description

Beautiful 2002 Mercedes Vario 814 freshly converted camper. It's the 8.5m long auto and drives surprisingly amazing, just like driving a big van, even with its 6.9 ton weight. The automatic box makes it effortless on longer journeys.
It's got everything you need in there and more. I've had several different trades all doing their own bit, and took around 4 months to get it done.
Kitchen is all live edges, as are most of the doors and work surfaces. Full double bunks down the bottom, which I actually sleep better in than at home. They can easily be taken out and replaced with 1 double with extra storage. Full shower room with flushable toilet.

Has a diesel heater (needs wiring up, the wire is there) which is connected to the main tank. It has got a 240 solar set up, that waa working, it got disconnected and the guys doing the 12v couldn't work out how to connect it back up, easy when you know how I suppose. It has 4 lorry batteries so would be great to connect it back up for weeks off grid
The 12v set up was all brand new in April time and will power the bus for at least a week no probs. 300l water tank under the bottom bunk with a powerful water pump.
Log burner works absolutely fantastic and has been amazing whilst up in Scotland, we've been living in it for 3 months while we start work. It has a built in 5kg lpg tank and all the appliances work extremely well off that, including the fridge, which gets surprisingly cold.
Boiler flue was installed by a leisure plumber in Stirling, have the invoice for that, so all perfectly safe.
I've had our 2yr old twins in so wanted it as safe as possible.
A large dometic air con unit, that is wired into solar currently, that will work when teh solar is set back up. I have had thoughts of taking the 240 out, and replacing it with a massive 12v set up.
It does have 4 side mounted seat belts on the bench seat, which have been fitted through the side steel bars, I know they're taboo, but they're solid and work fine. They're race harness for extra safety.
Mileage is estimated to be between 130k and 150k. No lights on the dash and will happily plod along at 60mph, it'll do 70mph, but you'd notice the fuel mpg change.
Little boat Boiler in the utility cupboard, with the batteries etc, all LPG appliances have had a vent drilled to outside for regs.
Log burner area was double fire boarded.
So I had it in for its MOT in south shields, spent £2800 on all the work to get it ready and it failed on a couple of silly things, as you can see. And I didn't have time to get them done that day, as we was leaving for Scotland that day. Eventually found someone in Stirling to do the bits and MOT it, which they did and the MOT inspection found a new hole!!! Brilliant eh!!! That was after £1200 ish worth of welding for the 1st MOT!! Whilst it was there it had a gear box service, full oil service and fluids. Fuel service needs doing, I'll get the coach company to do it next week.
So I've just had that done at a cost of £600 and is booked back in at Hunters Executive Coaches in Stirling on Friday 26th September, and pass. So all welding is good for another 10 years. It got us to Stirling from South Shields (210 miles) on about £65, which I didn't think was too bad.
There are a few jobs that needs doing to "finish" it, the big wall near the sink holds the wires to the fans, which needs wiring up. Needs some skirting around the kitchen wood work, the solar wiring up, the diesel heater wiring up, pressure in the taps needs looking at, I'm thinking the guy who fit them, hasn't released the valves fully, as the shower is really powerful. I was quoted between £800 and £1000 to get the wiring sorted, but we're out of cash and time, if you know what you're doing, its 8-10 hours labour.
It's got £3000 worth of wood in it, which really does look beautiful when it's clean and tidy. I daren't even use it as its intended, especially with the twins, so w basically lived in the vango.
The bench seat folds down to make a small double, so technically can sleep 6. I'll let the vango go with the bus, although its seen better days,, the tent also has a log burner in.
I'm sure I've missed some bits. We're only selling it as the farm I've started to work on has allowed me to put a static on which has zapped the last of our savings. So have no spare funds get the bus finished. Can send videos of whatever you want. We're back in South shields at the moment.
I've been as honest as I can, she's a bloody beauty and I'll be sad to see her go, I put my heart and soul (and savings) into getting her to this standard. I wouldn't think twice about driving her across Europe. With the diesel heater connected, you'll have absolutely no issues with being cold. I have £400 worth of Lekto slow burning logs that can go with it too.
Storage underneath the bed and bench, can store loads.
I have pictures of the build, so you can see that everything was done properly and professionally. The paint is a bit tatty, I have got some matt green to go over it, that can go with it too.
Has a dog kennel inside too,  only 1 storage locker from outside. Entrance under the bed can be done from outside too.
The cab area needs a couple of them 10 hours to finish off, and have got £500ish worth of wood and live edge bits that will go with the bus to get that done.
Any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

These are bits I forgot to add!!

*Round the log burner, it all needs pointing in between the rock face.

*The waste needs connected up underneath into 1 pipe ideally, pipes are there.

* Mattresses will go

* A twenty metre roll of limo tint to go, plus blackout blinds inside we put up some nights.

*8 man Vango with log burner and flue.
