For sale is my 1998 ‘R’ registration Georgieboy Pursuit 5 berth (4 seat belts) American RV built on a Ford F53 chassis and fitted with the renowned V10 Triton engine. It has covered just short of 50,000 miles from new. Please note that this vehicle is LEFT HAND DRIVE.
I bought this 3½ years ago with weekends away in mind. However, an influx of grand children have changed things considerably and it wasn’t used at all last year so it’s time for someone else to enjoy it. Please note that it’s over 28 years old so it comes with wear and tear associated with an older vehicle. However, it presents well for its years inside and out and it’s had thousands of £’s spent on it over many years (I have a file of various documents containing the details of some of the expenditure). I’ve recently spent just short of £3k on having the brake system overhauled (new calipers, new brake pipes and new brake hoses) as well as an engine service by an American RV specialist (invoice included). It is MOT’d until the end of February 2027.

On the outside there is a couple of small areas showing signs of delamination on the coach work but this doesn’t detract from its overall appearance. It has a 4KW generator fitted enabling use completely off grid if you so desire. I have never used it off grid but I have started it and ran it periodically. All 6 tyres are as new and the spare tyre looks as though it’s never been used. All of the awnings have been replaced some years ago but operate as they should and present well with no rips or tears. The chassis does have surface rust but it is just that. Structurally, it’s good. It would probably benefit from being treated with something like Lanoguard. There is an electric retractable step to make entry/exit easy. There’s also a hydraulically operated levelling system, something I’ve never used but it was working when I purchased it.

On the inside, starting at the front there are captains swivel seats for the driver and front seat passenger. These were recovered by a previous owner at considerable expense and they are very comfortable. There is also a Kenwood ‘intelligent’ Sat Nav fitted, again an addition by a previous owner at considerable expense. In theory, it won’t take you along any roads not suited for large vehicles or under bridges that are too low! It is also Bluetooth compatible and the sound system is superb. Opposite the entrance door is the lounge area fitted with a bed settee with a TV above which sleeps two people. To the left is a dining area which comfortably seats two people. The table can be removed to create a single bed. Opposite the dining area is the kitchen with sink, three gas hobs a combination induction/grill/microwave oven and full sized fridge freezer. The fridge freezer is the original unit so it’s looking tired but still works perfectly well. Moving further towards the rear there is the bathroom area with a wash basin, full sized shower and separate flushable toilet. At the rear is a fixed Queen sized bed, wardrobes, drawers and a wall mounted combi TV/DVD player. The bed has a brand new mattress cover, duvet cover, pillows and pillow cases. There are fly screens and blinds fitted throughout. The living area also has a separate mains air conditioning unit. In addition to the original 12 volt lights a previous owner has had LED lighting fitted throughout which conserves battery power.
I have recently fitted a new water valve to the toilet and a new electronic switch to the water pump. There is a large fresh water tank fitted under the fixed bed. The RV will also come with a new sewer hose to drain both waste tanks as the current one has split. The heating system and water heater are working perfectly but would probably benefit from a service.

This is a lot of vehicle for the money and I believe it’s realistically priced. I am open to sensible offers near the asking price. (I am aware of a 2004 Georgieboy Pursuit that has recently sold for over £20k with no MOT!!) Please check your driving licence to make sure you can drive this RV before enquiring about it or requesting to view it. I understand if you passed your driving test in a car before January 1997 then you can drive it but please check for yourself.
