2017 Vauxhall Vivaro. Camper - day van - van. Lots of extras...

I built this Vivaro van to suit my needs. I use it as my daily driver, to stay away on the odd weekend and to be able to carry 'stuff' including a motorcycle if I need to.


I did all of the work to convert it into the van you see here. I wanted to make it as nice and pleasant to drive / live with, as possible (I'm quite fussy about my vehicles). I sometimes need to transport a motorcycle, so the ability to carry a bike (or anything bulky) was a priority. I also wanted to be able to stay away at events. I built the rock and roll bed as you see in the pictures. The R+R bed is built to the size of a large single bed. This is not fixed in so its easily removable. I also built the cupboards and fold away shelf.

To give more flexibility and space when staying away I've fitted an awning rail. The van comes with a brand new Vango Elwood awning. I previously borrowed an awning from a friend to see if it was a good idea (it was) so I bought the Vango Elwood awning at the end of 2024 but have not used it so its brand new. A drive-away awning connector is also included.

The van is fully insulated and sound proofed. I have ALL of the receipts and photographs from the conversion.
I fitted an AGM leisure battery / mains charger / battery to battery charger / mains hook-up / lights etc etc... I mounted all of the electrical items and then had a professional van conversion company make the final connections and check this was done correctly.
The 'camper' electrics would be easy to modify or upgrade if required. I built the van so everything is easy to access. The internal panels can be easily removed to access the wiring for upgrades or whatever.

I fitted the windows, upgraded wheels and tyres (yes, correctly rated for a van). The head unit is a Pioneer so you have Car play / Android auto, DAB radio with reversing camera. The speakers have been upgraded to JBL 6.5 coaxial ones (much better sound than the originals).

It comes with FSH (recent service July 2025) MOT history and all paperwork including receipts for everything that has been done to or fitted.

I will include some 'camping' item that I bought for staying away including a windscreen cover, small gas cooker with spare gas cannisters, fold away table, cooker stand, Coleman cool box with ice packs, 2 rechargeable LED lights for the awning plus other bits and bobs that I no longer need (see pictures). All of these items have only been used once or twice

Bottom line, clean well cared for van. The upgrades and camper conversion was done to be the best it could be using the correct materials and components and not done on a budget! I dread to think how much I've spent on the van since I bought it but it had to be just right, so it cost what it cost. I have more pictures that I took when I did the work to convert it to a camper.
