1997 Nissan 8 seater/camper (MOT fail)

1997 Nissan Elgrand Camper Van – MOT Fail Project / Spares or Repair. Perfect-if fixed-for a summer of fun!

It’s an 8 seater diesel which we have used for overnight camping by spinning the seats and creating a bed (pictured). It drives really nicely as an automatic and we’ve had some great times travelling around Devon in it.

The previous MOT runs until 31 March, but the latest test recorded dangerous defects, so it will need to be towed or transported, not driven away. Screenshot of fails pictured .
Mechanic estimates around £600 to repair and get it through the MOT, but I’m selling as it is.

Also worth noting: the battery does drain if the van is left standing, so it may need an electrical check - it had a new battery and alternator in February.

We also have an as yet unused awning which attaches to it and a few other bits and pieces which may be useful to a new camper.
