This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at the NEC Classic Motor Show 2025 on Sunday the 9th of November, NEC, Birmingham, B40 1NT. , Iconic 1950s British single-cylinder motorcycle, renowned for performance and its racing pedigree,499cc overhead camshaft engine, delivering strong power and distinctive character,Classic 'Gold Star' status, named after the award for lapping Brooklands at over 100mph,Lightweight frame and handling, making it a favourite for both road and track riders,The current owner acquired the vehicle in 2011, restored the bike but never used it on the road,Has a current V5C and registration but the taxation class is currently showing as 'not licensed' - will need to be changed/updated by DVLA by the new owner for road-use. V5C sent for conversion to historic 03/10/2025,Engine and frame restored as close to original as possible,Gearbox is 'RR' (not 'RRT2'), but gear ratios are correct,Engine runs well, though the GP carburettor requires setting up and adjustment,Fitted with genuine Dunlop alloy rims and stainless steel spokes,Highly collectible classic bike, prized by enthusiasts worldwide for its history and rarity,
