Description
Fully working (see video above) Yamaha P65 3.5hp outboard motor / engine. 2 stroke machine running on 50:1 fuel. Yamaha is a highly regarded manufacturer - they make high quality products - it's old - it's still running. Air cooled eliminates impellor failure or weed blocking cooling inlets - less to go wrong. Engine starts and runs well and has a control lever to select either neutral or forward gear. Reverse is obtained by turning the motor 180 degrees. Ideal for small boat, rib, trolling, second (spare) engine, yacht etc. Mechanically sound but would benefit from a cosmetic paint job - an ideal project for someone - any rust is only light surface rust - nothing structural - the lower cowling is plastic so no rust there. Tiller control with a twist grip throttle control and push to stop button located on the tiller handle. This outboard is powerful for it's size and being light is easily transported. I am told it is a short shaft (thanks Ian). Height from the inside top of the transom clamp to the cavitation plate is 17 1/2 inches. Has 2 spare shear pins and split pins in a holder on the motor should they be needed. Video of motor running above (by photos) - can be shown running in water should you wish. Not my item - selling for a friend who has had this from new. He says it has had less than 100 hours running - just used on a rib with family. A genuine original item.
Cash on collection - once you buy it it is yours - no returns.
