Built by Water Travel in 1978, Jasmine Jean is fully ready to be lived in. The Last hull survey showed minimal to no loss of steel in the last 40 years. There has been no need for over, or replating during that time, which says a lot about the quality of steel used on the build. Latest blacking was
done 3 years ago.
Jasmine Jean has a valid BSS until 2027.
One of the most prominent features of the boat is the Russel Newbury DM2 engine, which is an ultra classic narrow boat engine. The engine is bullet proof and requires very little maintanence. Also it has an amazing sound. The engine has an active fan club which has been incredibly helpful with all the questions I have had.
Over the last 2 years the boat has been tastefully refurbished in a modern and light-filled style, super king size bed 180x200 with storage underneath and a massive outside space in the front which comfortably sits 6-8 people.
It comes with complementary portable washing machine, external power generator (5000W) and 240l rooftop water tank
