Hurley 24/70 Sailing boat (updated)

Great condition 1973 Hurley 24/70. Currently ashore in Poole harbour.

It's an absolutely gorgeous boat, valued at £6,000 in February 2016 (I have a copy of the survey from that year).

The engine has been serviced and done repair work carried out - there was a leak in the diesel intake and a blockage in the cooling system. A new impeller and gasket has also been fitted.

It's a perfect family day-sailer - really easy to manage, comfortable and forgiving - I have sailed her single handedly on a ninety of occasions.

The Hurley has a high aspect rig which means the boom does not cross the cockpit, making it very safe, especially for young families. It has a bilge keel making it perfect for hopping around the harbour and it's super sturdy in strong winds. It also has about 6ft standing headroom which is rare for a boat this size and really saves your back.

Due to a change in circumstances I am hoping for a quick and easy sale so I am open to offers to reflect this.

The previous owner was a marine engineer so everything about it is really well thought out and well maintained.

We have replaced the interior foam cushions in the last few years which were professionally cut and upholstered.
