My 1931 Thornycroft launch ( Vanessa ) built in Southampton for Lt CNDR J, Montgomery RN she is 30’ x10’x 2’draft approx, registered in London 1931 - 2. Due to family illness I’m not able to finish her. She is a project boat with great potential, she has a BMC Commordore Engine not tested, twin fuel tanks, toilet not tested cooker not tested. She was possibly at Dunkirk as there is mention of a Thornycroft boat but can’t be sure. She is on hard standing in Essex fees paid until summer 25. This boat cost me a lot of money more than I’m asking she needs a good home and deserves to be finished. She has classic Thornycroft lines so was probably fast in her day. I’ve tried to be honest in the add as to her condition she does need work, any competent woodworker or semi skilled person could finish her.
