Pet pigeon ( adoption only)

Description

We are looking for a kind and caring family to adopt our beloved 1-year-old pet pigeon. He is not for sale. We would really like him to go to a home where someone has previous experience caring for birds.
❤️ His story:
He was rescued when he was only a few days old, after he fell from his nest near a bridge. We have cared for him ever since, so he has always been a house pigeon and is very used to being around people.
• He is 1 year old.
• He cannot fly and has never flown. He gets around by walking and happily explores the house.
• He has never been outside on his own. We have only taken him outside with us once or twice during the summer, to a small outdoor area.
• He is very possessive about his bed and knows exactly where he likes to sleep! 😄
• He is a very clean bird and has his own routine. His feet are washed with water every morning.
• He regularly gives himself a bath in his water box, depending on his mood. During winter, he enjoys a warm-water bath. 🛁
• He has no known illness or disease, as far as we are aware.
• Like any house bird, he does poo around the house, but it can easily be wiped up with wet wipes.
• One of his favourite things is picking a foot wearing socks and sitting on it. 🧦❤️
We will provide his bedding and feeding station with him so he can have familiar things in his new home.
We are looking for someone who will treat him as a family member and give him the time, patience and care he deserves.

Sadly, we now have to find him a new home because of our daughter’s complex needs. Following a health assessment, we have been advised that we cannot keep pets in our home, so this is a very difficult decision for our family. We want to make sure he goes to someone who will love and care for him as much as we have.

This is a very emotional decision for us, and our priority is finding him the right home, not simply the quickest home. 🕊️❤️
