Description
Late Series I Moulton De Luxe. Date code and frame number illegible, but probably early 1965. Colour blue Front and rear forks rebuilt by Moulton Preservation.
Repainted and re-assembled in 2016 by Doug Pinkerton, with new transfers Original carriers and chrome mudguards (chrome blemished by some surface rust) Upgraded equipment includes: 5-speed Sturmey Archer (UK) steel hub gear, with twin cable control operated by 2 handlebar triggers Sturmey Archer (Taiwan), alloy crankset with SR pedals, Alloy front stem with modern alloy flat bars Moulton, ping bell and anatomic handlebar grips Sturmey Archer (Taiwan), alloy brake levers Sturmey Archer (Taiwan), alloy shell XFD front drum brake built into 36-hole alloy rim alloy dual pivot rear calliper brake alloy micro-adjust seat pin, fitted with Spa Cycles brown leather saddle black alloy aftermarket propstand.
Brompton tyres with high pressure Presta valve inner tubes chainwheel has 44 teeth(?) and rear cog is 15-tooth gear ratios give 71, 60, 47 38 and 31.5 Clean and in working order, but may need some adjustment as not used for a few years.
This was purchased by my father in law three years ago and not been used since then It is as he purcahsed it with the description from the original sale above. Would probably suit a collector or someone with an interest in this type of bike. Any questions please ask ill do my best to answer them.
