I’m selling my lovely Merida Speeder 200, 700c Sports Hybrid Bike in red-black to purchase another road bike. This bike has been meticulously cared for over the past 2 years and is still in fantastic condition—perfect for commuting, fitness, or leisurely rides.
• Frame size: Suitable for a range of riders (check online for full specs)
• Condition: Excellent overall, with minimal wear
• New Tyre: Last month I upgraded the rear tyre to Schwalbe Marathon Plus Smartguard Rigid Tyre (700 x 32 C), which costed me around £40—providing excellent puncture resistance and added durability.
• Minor Issue: Very minor issue with the Right gear shifter spring which doesn’t affect performance at all.
• Accessories: Comes with original accessories only. Any added accessories will be removed or are negotiable separately.

Fast and lightweight, the speeder shares some of its genes with road bikes.

The frame geometry is sporty with a more upright riding position that's noticeably different to conventional road bikes with drop bars, making it an excellent choice for riders wanting road bike style and efficiency with added comfort. Merida use the same triple butted 6066 series aluminium they use on road bikes which is hydroformed to tune the frame for a comfortable, responsive ride.

The addition of a full carbon fork with a tapered steerer delivers precise steering and a smooth ride. The upright position, flat bars and powerful hydraulic disc brakes are ideal for commuting, providing greater control and an enhanced field of vision when riding through traffic. For versatility, the frame can accommodate wider tyres up to 35mm, or 32mm with mudguards.
