COLLECTORS ITEM. MINT VINTAGE (1980's) ALAN SHORTER LOW PROFILE TIME TRIAL BIKE. ONE OF THE LAST TO BE DESIGNED BY ALAN SHORTER. FRAME FULLY RENOVATED by C & G FINISHES (Liverpool) including being SHOT BLASTED and STOVE ENAMELLED. FRAME and FORKS BUILT USING REYNOLDS 653 TUBING. SIZE 18.5 inches; (43cm) to which you would add 2 inches; or 3 inches; to obtain a road bike size. Internal cable routing and fast
back stays.
RARE 180mm SPECIALIZED RACING CRANKSET help to turn over the top gearing of 57 x 13. This bike was meant to go super fast. Loads of new vintage parts fitted. Bike has not been ridden since rebuild.
Handle bars: MAVIC BULLHORN with new vintage Velo Padded Bar Tape.
Stem: 3TTT new/vintage
Brake Levers: Dia - Compe TT Levers (vintage March 1993).
Brake Callipers: Universal Super 68 new/vintage. These are lighter than the later model.
Freewheel/Block: Rare Regina America 6 speed 13 - 18 new/vintage.
Chain: KMC new/vintage.
Front Mech.: Campagnolo new/vintage.
Rear Mech.: Campagnolo Record vintage.
Gear Levers: Campagnolo new/vintage.
Saddle: San Marco new/vintage.
Saddle Post: 26.8 JPR Extra Legere new/vintage.
Cables: new/vintage.
Pedals/Clips: MICHE new/vintage Straps: LAPIZE new/vintage.
Headset: Stronglight A9 new/vintage.
Bottom Bracket: Campagnolo new/vintage.
Cranks: Rare180mm Specialized vintage (June 1984 i.e. D - 6) + Campagnolo bb bolts new/vintage.
Chainrings: Campagnolo 57 tooth vintage + Campagnolo 47 tooth new/vintage.
Front wheel: 26 inches; tubular rim on 24 bladed spokes on Mavic Q/R S/F Hub vintage.
Rear wheel: 700 Mavic GP4 tubular rim on 32 spoke Maillard 700 L/F Hub vintage.
GREAT display item or one for the collection.
