2003 Recently restored Kona Scab

Description

The 2003 Scab was the strongest dirt jump bike that Kona made, the frame is practically indestructible. This one has been lovingly restored to its former glory while keeping many of the original components that make it such an iconic retro machine.

Set up with a 2:1 ratio 'magic gear' (i.e. no need for chain tensioner) ~ 52" (on 2.1" tyres) - Frame: 2003 Kona Scab cromoly with fittings for v-brakes or disc (15.5" centre BB/ top of seat-tube, c. 22" effective top tube)
- Fork: Rockshox Psylo XC forks (v-brake and disc mounts)
- Chainset/ BB: Truvativ Husellfelt DH with chainguard/ ISIS (I understand dual row bearings) - Some very slight play
- double rings and chainguard left on for flexibility to alter gearing as SS/ convert to gears
- Pedals: Kona Jackshit
- Bars/ stem: Kona DH - Grips: Kona Jackshit
- Seatpost/ Saddle: Kona/ SDG out of bounds
- Brakes: Tektro V-brake, Tektro lever (LHS), new stainless cable and housing - cable left full length and housing cut for one full rotation of bars
- Wheels: Sun Ditch Witch rims on Shimano Deore M475 disc hubs, stainless spokes
- as with rest, pretty much brand new, perfectly smooth and true - rear set up with spacers and a single cog
- Tyres: Tioga Factory DH 2.1 - not much wear
