Fantastic condition vintage steel road bike.
This was made in Putney. Yes, things were not always made in China. Especially high end bicycles were always made in London, extremely lightweight. Not made of plastic. (carbon).

This is the lightest, most comfortable bicycle you will ever ride.

Dates from 87-ish. In immaculate condition..

Made with Reynolds 531 Competition tubing. One of the lightest tubing ever made.

Shimano 600 (Ultegra)

Fully refurbished, all original parts/ new paint/ original decals.

This bike came to me in a sorry state. A bad case of Garage-itus. Filler, Paint splashed all over. But thankfully, no rust. 🙏

Roy Thame was one of the most important figures in British Cycling history.
As the Chairman of Holdsworth, he only made his own excellent high end Road Bikes, selling alongside Holdsworth frames. He even had his own racing team, whilst also running the Holdsworth racing team. Also the Chairman of the British Olympic Cycling Team. As well as distribution of Campagnolo here in the UK, and USA.

This is my forth Roy Thame, and it's head and shoulders one of the rest. Only my Roberts is lighter than this.
