Had Vortex come round initially for a quote on a new patio, 5mx10m. Talked me through all the options, arrived with different samples and discussed our particular needs. Agreed a start date with broken down costs and payments for clarity. From the off Dean and Marie we're fantastic, talking us through each step they were doing and any difficulties they came across (solved instantly without any hesitation) Outstanding moment: a supplier had provided stained patio slabs (barely noticeable to a non trained eye) , immediately informed and apologised for the delay it would cause. Insisting if they wouldn't lay it in their own garden then they wouldn't expect a customer to accept it. Quick replacements and we were back in business. At the end of the works (ahead of schedule, even with weather issues) had a comprehensive guide on my patio, what to do to keep it looking pristine and walked through the leftover materials (left at my request) ready for any future projects. Have already recommended them to family and friends without hesitation, they'll be nudged in future for more projects, hopefully nothing that extensive. If you have any doubts, invite them for a chat and you will not be disappointed!

Dean is a rare breed of trades professional who really goes the extra mile. He came out on Bank Holiday to visit and quoted within the hour...very fairly I might add. On site he and Marie were fantastic...polite, sensitive to neighbours, and left the site immaculate. The finish of the job he completed was done speedily and to a level higher than my expectations (which are high). Definitely 7 star performance!!!

Patio, drainage and retaining wall. Last year we employed Dean and Marie to replace two runs of fencing and were so impressed with them and their work that when we decided to extend our patio they were the obvious choice. They spent time with us going through options and solutions to the issues we were having with poor drainage and once we settled on an option they promptly sent us a quote, and upon acceptance they started work within days. They calmly dealt with unexpected issues and adverse weather conditions that arose and now just a couple of weeks from first contact they have installed land drains and a soak-away, a railway sleeper retaining wall, and a beautiful spacious patio - all in time for summer. They are friendly, conscientious, hard working and punctual (something which is very refreshing after experiences we have had with others). We with certainly use them again.
