For sale very rare, vintage Ercol Evergreen High Back (Grandfathers) Easy Chair / Armchair in 'Fruitwood' finish with bordo flower pattern cushions.

This iconic piece was designed by Lucian Ercolani and manufactured in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire and is now back in fashion (keenly collected and highly regarded). Ercol furniture is synonymous with good design, quality materials and craftsmanship and is built for longevity. This is a real eye catching piece of vintage retro style furniture which is still manufactured today.

The Evergreen armchair has a steam-bent beech frame and is constructed using traditional techniques to a beautiful finish. The cushions are covered in red fabric and they sit on top quality Pirelli webbing (making the chair very comfortable to sit on). The cushions have zips allowing it to be laundered professionally when needed.

The armchair and is in excellent (original) vintage condition with some slight marks commensurate with age and use. It is free of any damage, repairs or wear to joints. The chair is sturdy with no loose joints or spindles. The Pirelli webbing suspension is still in perfect condition. The fabric and the cushion foams are also in very good condition, they have been dry-cleaned. The frame has been cleaned and waxed. The armchair still retains an original Ercol label.

Item is available for the collection from London, E7 9JX. I can offer a delivery in person to any London address for at a cost of £45. Delivery to London vicinity area is also possible. Please contact me for a quote before making a purchase. London deliveries are only available on late evenings during the week. I am more flexible with the delivery time on weekends.
