Lovely vintage Royal Doulton character jug depicting “The Poacher”, one of Royal Doulton's classic character designs.
A particularly attractive feature is the large trout forming the handle, together with the poacher's brown hat, green jacket and red neck scarf.
Designed by Max Henk and originally introduced during the 1950s, The Poacher became one of Royal Doulton's very recognisable character jugs.
A great decorative piece and an ideal addition to a Royal Doulton or character-jug collection.
