Victorian Walnut Duchess Dressing Table – Ornate Oval Mirror

Large and impressive late-Victorian/early-20th-century walnut Duchess dressing table with an ornate carved oval mirror.

Beautiful figured walnut/walnut veneer with carved scroll and pierced decoration, multiple drawers, turned wooden handles and elegant turned/fluted legs.

A substantial and characterful antique piece that would look fantastic in a traditional bedroom, dressing room or period property.

Believed to date from approximately 1890–1910.

Condition: This is an antique piece and has been used. There is visible damage and wear to the lacquer/finish on the main top, scratches and marks, and some bowing/movement around the drawers. There are also age-related splits/separation in places. The drawers show internal wear. Please study all photographs carefully.

The furniture has not been stripped or refinished.

A small red circular "HGS" mark is present on the rear of the mirror support, although I cannot confirm its origin.
