Description
Large Doulton Lambeth stoneware jug.
Two-tone brown and beige glaze with raised relief decoration showing a windmill, country figures, trees, deer, and hunting scenes with horses and dogs.
Base marked with the circular impressed stamp DOULTON LAMBETH (no “England”).
This type of mark was used from the mid-19th century until around 1891 (after 1891 the word “England” was normally added).
Typical late Victorian English pottery piece.
