Description
This is an antique WH Grindley & Co earthenware (semi-porcelain) large oval serving platter made in England. The platter features the 'Ardmore' pattern - a sophisticated design of garlands of small pink roses weaving over a gold band with a delicate black geometric pattern. This original piece was manufactured between 1900-1919.
Dimensions: 40cm long x 29.3cm wide x 4.5cm high
This platter is in a fair condition with no chips, cracks or scratches. However there are a couple of small blemishes on the rim, and the earthenware has developed a speckled appearance due to its age (see photos). From a smoke and pet free home.
We are located in Trowse near Norwich, just a few mins drive from County Hall and the football ground, and 5 mins drive from the Southern Bypass.
