Description
Rare early example of Spode Bone China teacup with the elegant 447 pattern ie decorated with a grapevine which is hand-painted and gilded.
This design was introduced by Josiah Spode c 1802 and is in superb condition.
The main lateral of the vine wiggles around the top rims with bunches of grapes.
Vine leaves suspend from it together with corkscrew tendrils.
