Antique Noritake Porcelain Hand Painted and Gilded Decorative Centrepiece Bowl on Stand
Features:
- two pieces: bowl and 3-footed stand/trivet
- stand with embossed gold gilt decoration on black and gilded paw feet
- the dished bowl reserved with four hand-painted floral motifs within intricate richly gilded borders and embossed gold gilt decoration on a black ground, the outside cream banded border and decorated with gold gilt
- printed backstamp
- Noritake Maruki (with "Komaru" symbol) Mark, registered in London in 1908 and in Japan three years later, and is thought to be specific for export pieces to the UK
- made in Japan circa 1908-14

- overall 25 cm diameter x 18 cm tall
- bowl 25.5 cm diameter across rim x 12 cm tall
- stand 17 cm diameter across feet x 7 cm tall
Pre-owned - excellent antique condition; unboxed; checked with no chips, cracks, crazing, damage or restoration, some age-related wear to the gilding
