Description
An exceptional French antique solid wood milking stool. It is in excellent condition for its age with only minimal signs of use. It is still solid and strong as pieces like this were built to last, so it has lots of life left in it.
It is made of a dark wood in the shape and style of a horseshoe. It was originally designed and made for sitting on while milking cows but its rustic look means it looks good simply as a decorative piece, especially in a country house or farmhouse-style room. It is supported by three sturdy wooden legs in a tripod shape.
It really is one of the best pieces of antique craftmanship I've come across in recent times.
