Description
Set of three genuine, large-scale late-Victorian / early-Edwardian monochrome photogravure prints. Published by the renowned Photographische Gesellschaft Berlin (Berlin Photographic Company), famous for high-quality fine art reproductions.
The Collection Includes:
• "Good Sport" by Arthur William Strutt (Comical hunting scene)
• "Between Two Fires" by Francis Davis Millet (Famous Puritan dining scene)
• "The Black Sheep" by Francis Davis Millet (Puritan family scene)
Condition & Details:
• Overall: Good vintage condition, image areas are clean and clear.
• Backing: Unframed. They are currently stuck/laid down onto their original thick Victorian cardboard backings.
• Margins: The outer paper edges show typical antique age-toning and minor foxing/staining. This will easily be hidden behind a standard picture mount when framed.
Dimensions:
• Size: Largest sheet is 76cm x 56cm (Approx. 30" x 22"). These are substantial, large-format statement pieces.
• Framing Tip: They fit perfectly into standard 30x22 inch frames or standard metric 80x60cm frames with a custom window mount to cover the border margins.
