Description
WILLIAM CHITTENDEN of Cranbrook in Kent, early early 19th, century Silvered dial Long. Case clock.
This lovely elegant clock has a silvered arched dial with subsidiary second hand, hour hand, also a strike and silent hand
The silvered dial measures 40cm high, 30 cm wide with Roman numerals.
The makers name is beautifully engraved at the top of the arched dial.
The brass movement is in excellent clean polished condition and the weights are suspended on steel wires.
Pendulum and weights are brass covered and the pendulum rod is solid brass, (repaired)
The lovely light oak case measures 213cm high, 45cm wide.
There is a piece of wood which can be pushed up into a metal bracket to lock the hood when the clock door is locked.
