18th-Century Dutch Floral Marquetry Occasional Silver Table Of A Fantastic Size
Brief Description:
This is a beautiful, original 18th-century period Dutch Marquetry free-standing silver table of wonderful proportions.
Dating to circa 1770-1780, and embellished throughout with fabulous floral marquetry that includes two elegant birds in the centre of the table.
With a single cushion moulded drawer, and retaining the original solid brass drop-handle.
The piece is both strong and sturdy. It has satinwood and ebonised stringing, together with four pretty Queen Anne tapering legs, terminating in pad feet.
Other than the two very common diagonal wood shrinkage splits running the length of the table, the piece is in wonderful original condition with great patina.
