Description
Czarist era Navy butylka measure. A Surviving authentic and well marked cup for measuring out liquids. Copper with tin lining. Very rare. Superb condition for its age: at least 138 years.
Several markings as shown.
"1887" with two headed eagle emblem & lower down "1/20".
"1896" with "nf 96" emblem.
"SCCHWENN RIGA" SCHWENN is possibly misspelt with two "c"s
Also a partially visible mark with Cyrillic letters and numeral 1.
130mm height - 80mm diameter
Holds just over 1 imperial pint with no leaks
