This lot will be auctioned via Iconic Auctioneers, The Iconic Motorcycle Sale at Shuttleworth 2026 on Sunday the 19th of April, Shuttleworth, Old Warden Park, Beds, SG18 9EP . , • AJS Model 14, powered by a 250cc single-cylinder engine, one of AMC’s final lightweight models• Believed fitted with an engine dating from 1960• Previously in long-term ownership for some 15 years and described as running very sweetly prior to its recent period of inactivity• We are advised restoration work was carried out in 2006 which included an engine rebuild with new con-rod, big-end bearing, flywheel main-shafts and oil pump shaft, alongside a new seat and rebuilt wheels with new rims, spokes, tyres and tubes• An older restored example, presenting as a usable classic with scope for light improvement depending on the next custodian’s preferences• Not used since 2024 and, as such, will require recommissioning prior to returning to regular road use• A straightforward and characterful British single, suitable for classic riding or gentle refurbishment• UK-registered, however no paperwork is offered with the bike; a V62 application will be completed in the buyer’s name post auction• An accessible entry into classic motorcycling with clear potential• Offered without reserve
